Is Qmee Legit? I’ve Made $298, Here’s My Honest Review

Is Qmee legit? Yes. I’ve cashed out $298.16 from Qmee in 32 PayPal payouts, and every one landed in my PayPal within a minute. It’s also the lowest-paying platform I’ve ever used. After all the screen-outs, I averaged about $2.50 an hour.

Qmee was my first platform. I joined on October 24, 2021, before Crowdtap, UserCrowd and Prolific:

Qmee welcome email from October 24, 2021

Here’s how Qmee works, what I earned, how you get paid, and why it was so brutal to work on.

What Is Qmee?

Qmee is an app and website that pays you for taking surveys. It also has cashback, deals and games. According to its terms, it’s run by Kantar UK Ltd in London. You have to be at least 16 and live in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, France or Germany.

How I Found Qmee (No Waitlist)

I found Qmee on r/beermoney in October 2021. There was no waitlist, and there still isn’t one. You can sign up and start taking surveys right away.

How Qmee Surveys Work

Qmee shows a list of surveys with the pay and the estimated time. Here’s what I saw today:

Qmee survey list paying $0.30 to $1.38 per survey

Surveys pay from $0.30 for 4 minutes to $1.38 for 17 minutes. That’s about $3 to $5 an hour, before screen-outs. I did almost all of mine on the Qmee app.

The Downside: Constant Screen-Outs

This is what makes Qmee brutal. You start a survey, answer questions for 20 minutes, and get screened out. Screen-outs did pay me a smaller amount, but nowhere near the full reward.

I think the main reason is that Qmee doesn’t use your profile well. If your profile says you own a car, you’ll get sent a survey about leasing a car, and you get screened out partway through.

After all the screen-outs, I averaged about $2.50 an hour, and sometimes less. It took me 8 hours or more to earn $25.

How Much I’ve Made

From November 2021 to September 2022, I cashed out $298.16 in 32 PayPal payouts. My first payout was $25.53 on November 23, 2021:

Is Qmee legit: my first Qmee PayPal payout of $25.53 on November 23, 2021

My best month was December 2021, at $170.54. It was my first full month, and I wanted to make as much as I could. After January 2022, I used Qmee less, because I was making much more on Clickworker (UHRS).

The Day Streak Bonus

If you do a survey every day, you build a streak. Unlock all 5 “Oinqs” and you get a 10% bonus on surveys:

I kept my streak going, but even with the bonus, I still averaged about $2.50 an hour.

Qmee Is More Than Surveys

Qmee also has Cashback, Deals and Gaming sections. Cashback has 144 brands:

Even bigger brands like Walmart offer cashback on select products:

The Deals section has offers from brands:

And Gaming pays you to download games and reach certain levels, up to $420.38 for one game:

I never used Cashback, Deals or Gaming.

How You Get Paid

You can cash out to PayPal or Venmo, donate to charity, or get a gift card:

Qmee cash-out options: PayPal, Venmo, charities and gift cards

The gift cards include Amazon, Apple, Target, Walmart, Starbucks and more:

I cashed out to PayPal, since I was already getting Amazon gift cards from Crowdtap. The best part: there’s no minimum. My last payout was just $0.40, on September 17, 2022:

My last Qmee PayPal payout of $0.40 on September 17, 2022, with no minimum

Every payout landed in my PayPal within a minute.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • Legit, with 32 PayPal payouts that all arrived
  • No minimum cash-out
  • PayPal payouts in under a minute
  • No waitlist
  • Endless surveys
  • Works great on the app

Cons:

  • Very low pay, about $2.50 an hour
  • Constant screen-outs, often 20 to 30 minutes in
  • Screen-outs pay much less than the full reward
  • Poor survey matching

Who Qmee Isn’t For

Qmee isn’t for you if your time is worth more than a few dollars an hour. There’s always a survey to take, and that’s because the pay is so low. If you want better pay for surveys, start with Prolific and CloudResearch Connect where I average about $12 an hour and $11 an hour respectively.

Is Qmee Legit? My Verdict

Yes, Qmee is legit. I cashed out $298.16 in 32 payouts, with no minimum, and every one hit my PayPal within a minute.

But it’s the lowest-paying platform I’ve ever used, at about $2.50 an hour after screen-outs. Use it if you want instant, tiny PayPal payouts and there’s nothing better available. Just set your expectations. If you want to try it, you can sign up for Qmee here.
