How I Added Up My Earnings
Crowdtap doesn’t have a downloadable history like Prolific or Connect. So I went through my Reward Status page and counted every gift card. Every one was a $5 Amazon gift card for 1,000 points.

2022 was most of it. I made $50 in my first two months alone. After mid-2023, I stopped because I was busy with college.

In those months, I logged in every day and collected every point I could. So $30 is a realistic max, at least for my demographics.

How Much Crowdtap Pays Per Action
1,000 points = $5, so each point is worth half a cent. I’ve seen actions pay 5, 10 and 70 points:

How Much Crowdtap Pays Per Day
In my 6-gift-card months, I earned 6,000 points a month. That’s about 200 points a day, or $1 a day. That’s how many points were available to me when I did every tile, every day.
How Much Crowdtap Pays Per Hour
It took me more than an hour of actions to earn 1,000 points ($5), so Crowdtap pays under $5 an hour. That’s the lowest of my study platforms. The upside is that actions are quick, and you can do them on your phone in spare minutes.
How Long Does It Take to Earn a Gift Card?
Crowdtap told me it takes 2 days on average to earn your first gift card:
After my first one the pace slowed down. A gift card every 2 days would be 15 gift cards a month. My max was 6, or one about every 5 days, and that was logging in daily. It depends on your demographics, so you might get more or fewer actions, but 15 a month is a stretch.
How Fast You Get Paid
Gift cards come by email from Tango Card, usually the next day. My last one was requested on July 31, 2023, and arrived on August 1. All 71 came through, and none were denied.
There are 41 gift cards to choose from. Most start at $5. PayPal starts at 5,000 points ($25) and has a 6% fee, so I stuck with Amazon.
Crowdtap vs. My Other Study/Survey Platforms
Crowdtap pays the second lowest per hour of my five study/survey platforms. I make about $11 to $13 an hour on Prolific and CloudResearch Connect, compared to under $5 on Crowdtap. But $355 is my second-biggest total, because I could do actions on my phone every day.
The lowest paying survey platform I’ve used is Qmee which has an abundance of surveys.
My Verdict: How Much Can You Make on Crowdtap?
From my 71 gift cards, here’s what to expect:
- Per action: a few cents, up to about 35 cents or more
- Per day: about $1 in my best months
- Per month: $30 at most, logging in every day
- Per hour: under $5

How much can you make on Crowdtap? Not a lot per hour, but it adds up. If you shop on Amazon anyway, $30 a month in gift cards for a few minutes on your phone each day is a nice extra.
